Terms of Use

These terms apply to www.truckeroutpost.com and the TruckerOutpost.com Command Center at app.truckeroutpost.com (together, “the site”). The site is operated by DOT Services of America LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. What TruckerOutpost.com is (and isn’t)

  • TruckerOutpost.com is an information and community site for trucking businesses.
  • We are not an insurance agency. We don’t sell insurance, give quotes, or give coverage advice. Quote requests go to a licensed partner agency only if you ask and consent. That agency alone decides any quote, coverage or price.
  • We are not a government agency, and we’re not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Transportation, FMCSA or any state agency.
  • We are not a law firm or a tax adviser. Nothing on the site is legal, tax, compliance or insurance advice.

2. Free tools and information

  • The free check, scores (including Road Ready), deadline dates, broker checks, diesel prices and calculators are general information only.
  • They’re based on public records and on what you enter. That data can be incomplete, late or wrong. For example, an insurance filing can lag behind your actual policy, and a “likely” renewal month is an estimate.
  • Always confirm with the official source (FMCSA, your state, the IRS) or a licensed professional before acting.
  • We’re not responsible for decisions made from the tools, or for missed deadlines.
  • Connected AI apps: if you connect an AI assistant, its answers are general information only, like our tools. Check anything important with the official source, and never use it while driving.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and give accurate information.
  • Keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • Claiming a USDOT number: only claim a carrier you own, work for, or are authorized to represent. A claim isn’t verified until we say so. We may remove a claim we believe is wrong.
  • You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

4. Channel 19 and other things you post

  • You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display and share it on the site so the community features work.
  • Don’t post:
    • anything illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful or sexual
    • other people’s private information
    • spam or ads, except where the site allows them
    • false statements about a person or company
    • anything you don’t have the right to share
    • anything typed while driving. Pull over first.
  • Broker pay reports must reflect your own real experience.
  • Members can report posts. Posts with enough reports are hidden automatically, and we may remove anything or pause posting for any account.
  • We’re not responsible for what members post.

5. Outpost Miles and referrals

  • Outpost Miles are a free loyalty feature. They have no cash value, can’t be sold or transferred, and are never tied to buying insurance or any partner product.
  • We may change how Miles are earned, the ranks and the rewards. We may also end the program, and we may remove Miles earned through fraud or abuse.
  • Referral rewards apply only to real, new members who sign up through your link and claim their own USDOT.

6. Partners and links

  • The Trading Post and other pages list partner companies. They’re separate businesses with their own terms. We don’t guarantee their products or services.
  • Any agreement you make with a partner is between you and that partner.
  • Links to other websites are for convenience. We don’t control those sites.

7. Messages from us

  • We send account and service emails, such as verification, password resets and reminders you turned on.
  • Marketing emails go only to people who signed up, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • We call or text about insurance only if you tick the consent box. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.

8. Acceptable use

Don’t:

  • scrape, copy in bulk or resell the site’s data
  • overload or attack the site, or get around rate limits or security
  • use bots to create accounts or posts
  • use the site to break any law

9. Disclaimers

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied. This includes accuracy, fitness for a purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, fines or penalties, arising from your use of the site.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. The free site costs nothing.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, if a claim arises from your content, your misuse of the site, or your breaking these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
  • Disputes go to the state or federal courts in St. Lucie County, Florida, unless the law requires otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we’ll tell signed-in members. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
